Since 2011 and the joint acquisition by the Pizzarotti group and the Casiraghi family of the old Banca Commerciale Italiana abandoned, Monaco held its breath. In fact, the project leaders decided to launch a resounding architectural competition aimed at providing the city-state with a new luxury residential complex. Following an anonymous exhibition of the various projects and the secret negotiations of a jury of experts, Isay Weinfeld was finally awarded the construction of the building. The selection criteria brought together many aspects that the Brazilian architect was able to synthesize and integrate into an idea that, without doubt, will contribute to the reputation of the world capital of refinement of Monaco.
Isay Weinfeld's choice is based on his ability to respond with taste and creativity to the specifications imposed for the project. In particular, the members of the jury were seduced by the lightness with which the residence fits in the urban context of the city. Especially since the optimization of the space and the available surfaces, another categorical imperative, obviously underlay his version of the project. The luxury apartments take advantage of the architect's open and connected vision of the environment for whom contextual integration seems to be the prime inspiration. Like a tightrope walker, Isay Weinfeld combines the traditional aesthetic constraints of Monte-Carlo with his strong personal identity to give birth to a property that is fully coherent with a successful urban transformation.

Live in Monaco and enjoy its charms
In recent years, the district of Carré d'Or is in perpetual excitement. The strong demand for large luxury housing units stimulates developers and produces a race for the expansion of luxury real estate. A symbol of this trend, Isay Weinfeld's Petite Afrique project is a showcase for new construction in Monaco. Its proximity to the Casino gardens on the one hand and the Avenue de la Madone on the other hand have inspired the architect with a daring design in full harmony with its environment. Enabling residents of Petite Afrique to enjoy the incomparable view has been the guideline of his work. That is why each floor has balcony gardens, true extensions of the interior area, where it is possible to enjoy in peace the favors of the Mediterranean climate. Each of the 8 apartments extends over an entire floor except the penthouse on the top floor which occupies the last two levels. The penthouse is provided with a terrace and a private swimming pool on the roof where a shaded pergola makes it possible to relax while taking advantage of a breathtaking point of view. The 8 apartments are each equipped with two suites, a master suite with dressing room, an office and large public areas. There is also a large kitchen, a dining room and spaces devoted to service. As desired by the project leaders, the living spaces of the Petite Afrique are open to the outside light thanks to transparent partitions extending the visibility on the spacious terrace and the gardens. The architect's philosophy was thus perfectly adapted to the constraints imposed by the specifications to offer residents a modular luxury apartment, open to the outside and including various services.

Living in Monaco at Petite Afrique: a building with prestigious services
While the quality of the finish and the successful aesthetic integration into the urban context of the Isay Weinfeld project raised the enthusiasm of the jury members, they also welcomed the layout of the various services offered at the Petite Afrique residence. The upper level, connected to the Boulevard des Moulins, offers quick access to the neighborhood and its lively life and transport network. Naturally, one can penetrate from this side the commercial part of the project and its three levels conceived as flexible that can accommodate a large structure or several small entities. At the first level of the basement, bathed in natural light thanks to wells, are the essential services including a swimming lane, a hammam, a sauna, a fitness room, a massage room and a very convivial lounge bar.The first floor and the ground floor are reserved to the staff quarters which include accommodation units and storage rooms. The private entrance of the residents opens onto a curved road that runs along the Casino Gardens. The main hall connects naturally with the surrounding greenery, diffusing a feeling of harmony and streamlining the exchanges between the building and the urban environnement.
The success of this project lies in the strict application of the initial directives, combined with the strong and visionary identity of a renowned architect.
