A visit to the Canadian website skyscraperpage.com showed us this interesting illustration of the tallest buildings in Monaco!
A new leader after a long period of stability!
The recent construction of the Odeon Tower has shaken up the rankings of the tallest buildings in Monaco, dethroning L’Annonciade and Le Millefiori. Until then, they had been in the top spot for 35 years… and Le Millefiori had reigned over the Principality (on its own then with L’Annonciade) for almost half a century!
The Sun Flower, Monaco’s tallest building when it was built in 1965, is still hanging on in the Top 10 of this Canadian ranking.
Some notable omissions…
But it seems that our Canadian friends have forgotten several buildings that could claim a place in the list of the tallest buildings in Monaco:
- Le Simona, built in 2012 at 90 metres high,
- Le Roccabella, standing at 90 metres high with 29 floors,
- The Monte Carlo Sun, with its 81 metres and 26 floors,
- Le Schuylkill, at 78 metres and 25 floors.
The Testimonio II tower, with its 25 floors, should also take a top spot in this ranking upon completion in 2022.
The coming years could also be marked by the development of new high-rise real estate projects in Monaco.
Monaco’s high-rise buildings offer a wide range of attractive apartments, often with spectacular views of the sea, the rock or the city. An option to consider as you search for your ideal Monaco apartment! And, whatever the home you have in mind for your purchase, good knowledge of current and future high-rise plans is essential, so you can be sure there won’t be a new building popping up to block your wonderful sea view!
